I'm looking for a software based product which can lock down any changes made to a system and resets itself when the pc reboots.

Where I teach, we use Centurion Guard which requires me to go to a computer to physically insert a key and unlock it before making changes. i'm looking for something software based and will reset any changes made to a PC everytime the PC reboots.

** also, this should have some sort of password protection so my students can't get around it.

got any ideas?

There is a PCI card called "Magic Card" that does just this. No matter how badly you mangle the system (and believe me, I tried) it will restore everything when you reboot....
My friend had these installed in all his computers in his internet cafe, it saved countless hours of work, and didn't limit the system in any way....
