I used one I found in a random cookbook at home (don't even remember which one) and basically the dressinig was good but when the recipe says to cook carrots for 15 minutes, do NOT. (I figured carrots were only supposed to be a little soft, they were supposed to be fully cooked)
Tzimmes is a sweet sort of carrot stew with honey/carrots/raisins/etc.

slice on diagonal, add brown sugar, lump of butter/margarine, a little water, cover and cook till the carrots are tender.
tzimmes for me is a more elaborate stew, more than just carrots--like sweet potatoes, carrots, and prunes, sometimes with meat.

I have a recipe that's loaded with sugar, but delicious. It's rather candied, than glazed. If you want it, holler.
Actually, I think I posted it before RH.
