At what point do you think where a potential date/spouse/whatever attended high school or summer camp is irrelevant? For a 25 year old, 35, 45, 55?

Is this attempt to gauge hashkafah and pinpoint a person's theological/philosophical derech? Or to see if your cousin Shmuely remembers Yaakov from his bunk in camp 13 years ago?

Definitely 30, possibly even 25 depending on what they've been doing since they graduated high school.

But I wouldn't really call it "irrelevant" as much as I'd say "not so significant." Meaning, the older a person is, the more important it is to know what they're doing now and the less important it is to know what they were doing 10 years ago; it can't hurt to get that information, but it's not crucial.

Relevant to what? If you are talking about trying to figure his hashkafah from what camp he went to it's absurd. But that's what frummies do. They pick atrificial ways to to try to label you and/or try to figure out your level of frumkeit.

Sounds like someone just received another copy of The Shadchan magazine in the mail.

I think these details become irrelevant 5 years after they occured. (I don't understand summer camp at all. I thought camp was just camp. Do people really ascribe different hashkafos to camps?)

I think where someone went to yeshiva is much more important than high school. How many people have any say at all where they are sent for HS???
