like mikros gedolah or just rashi?
If Eichler's is any indication, from 95-190 dollars.
ETA: But many places are a lot cheaper than Eichlers.

Buying seforim from Eichlers is like buying oil from a gas station.....
You'll pay half that amount in Israel for a decent set.......
The question was either US or Israel.
But I agree. Many local stores, even in the US, are a lot cheaper.

What does Hameor have over Meoros that it's double the price (other than that the paper is heavier and I personally prefer it)?

1. Heavier paper=more durable and fit for heavy use.
2. Occupies more shelf space so it looks more choshuv.

Doesn't it have slightly different formating or fonts or layouts?

Yes. More traditional and clearer, IMHO.

1. Right.
2. Weird; I thought the Hamaor was thicker. Go figure.
