Are you allow to use English quotes from the Torah to explain what is the Jewish perspective on things to a class of only Non-Jews.
i.e. "you shall arise before the elders....." to show that we highly respect the elderly. I only want to hear from people who are sure of the answer. I hope I know before tmw since the presentation is tmw.

Yes. There is a Melamed L'Hoil where he discusses this. The issue was about a boy whose father was Jewish and mother not Jewish and he wanted to send his son to the talmud torah.

How are you planning on figuring out who is or isn't sure of the answer?

I wonder if confidence in one's reply is correlated with correctness of that reply.

In the field of religion one's confidence in a statement often has a reverse correlation with accuracy...
