Do Chassidim dance differently from Litvaks/yeshivish/MO? Do MO dance at all (not counting discos or mixed BBYO events)?

Huh? Do you mean at weddings or bar mitzvahs? Doesn't everyone just get in a circle and shuffle around?

Obviously, MO people don't dance. At their weddings the women stand around discussing how they can further empower each other and the men sit around discussing the latest in biblical criticism while pondering their own intellectual superiority. What's more, all this discussing is done while in mixed seating, often with the men shaking the hands of women to whom they are not married.

No, I think they move differently. Not sure how to define the difference but it's there.

Obviously the chassidish / extreme yeshivish women are going to dance more 'eidel'. The chassidish men do dance differently, IIRC.

It reflects their overall world outlook...

When 'snags dance there is usually a big circle and then one individual or a few choice individuals in the middle making a spectacle out of themselves...

By Chassidim the dancing is more group oriented, and less focused on showing off and getting into the "inner circle"....

Except during hakufes. Then, if it's a superlargepopularsplitfighting chassidus, the chassidim stand around clapping while the rebbe dances with the Torah.
Boring, but the women still climb over each other to watch and to point out their fathers/husbands/brothers.

That happens accidentally because everyone is smoking and aren't careful with their cigarettes......
