Interior designers or fashion designers?

I've never had to deal with fashion designers but have a lot to do with interior designers. Answer is, as always, it depends on the designer. The woman who did our London kitchen was a PITA; didn't listen to our needs and made some expensive mistakes. The French designer who did the renovations to our J'lem house is very good; talented, listens to us, and is a PITA. In a nice way.

On the other hand, from the point of view of the interior designer, I think they have difficulty dealing with clients who basically just want validation from the designer.
The key of course is balance, where each listens to the other.
FYI
Just tell them to listen to what your wife says, if they want to get paid.

I solve the problem by being my own interior designer.
