If two people are walking to shul and discussing a halachah, is that talking in learning? When a rabbi asks you what material you are currently studying? What is the correct use of that phrase, "Talking in learning"?

I HATE that term. If it was in my power I would ban it outright.

I always heard it as "speaking in learning." I would think its more than just a casual "I'm learning the mishna in brachos and how's the wife". It is an in-depth discussion.
