Two Injured in Attack Show Improvement

(IsraelNN.com) Two of the students injured in Thursday's brutal terrorist attack on Mercaz Harav Yeshiva in Jerusalem showed significant improvement over Shabbat, doctors at Hadassah-Ein Kerem hospital said. One has been transferred to internal medicine units, and the second remains under supervision in the emergency room, although his life is no longer in danger. A third victim at Hadassah-Ein Kerem is in moderate condition in the orthopedic unit.

Four others are being treated at Shaarei Tzedek Hospital, with one still in serious condition.

Two of Yeshiva Wounded Return Home

(IsraelNN.com) Two of the young men wounded in a terrorist shooting attack in the Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva in Jerusalem last Thursday have been released from the hospital. Doctors report that other young men are healing as well, and most are no longer in danger of losing their lives.

Five young men remain hospitalized in Hadassah Ein Karem and Shaarei Tzedek hospitals in Jerusalem. One of the wounded is in serious condition, two are in moderate condition, and two are in light condition.

One Week Later: Four Still Hospitalized

(IsraelNN.com) Four students from the Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva remain in Jerusalem hospitals on Thursday, one week after they were wounded in a terrorist shooting that killed eight of their friends. One of the young men, 15-year-old Naftali Sheetrit of Sderot, is still in serious condition.

Sheetrit has been in an induced coma for the past week. Doctors said Thursday that they plan to allow him to wake up at some point in the next several hours. His condition has stabilized somewhat since the shooting, they said. A friend of the family said Naftali’s family and the doctors were optimistic. “They all see that with God’s help everything can work out for the best,” he said.

A 28-year-old father of two who was wounded in the shooting is in light condition following surgery to remove a bullet from his arm, and will be released soon. Two teenagers are in moderate condition in Hadassah Ein Karem hospital.

Supporters have asked the public to pray for Naftali ben Gila, Shimon Yechiel ben Tirtza, and Nadav ben Hadassa.
