Shoshi
That was very mentschlich of him. He's a tzadik.
U Tarzan me Jane
thank you for posting that. It has returned some of my faith in the Jewish people.

I was seriously disgusted at what some others were writing on other boards. Its great to see the Belzer rebbes response to this tragedy after reading some of the other tripe on the internet!
Kalashnikover_Rebbe
I sincerely hope he remembers this visit the next time he has to instruct his cronies how to vote in the Knesset....

Wow. Thank you for posting.

It's nice to see that we're all one nation.

it's heartwarming to read such things. a few people in comments there said that the Gerer Rebbe cancelled his Yerushalayim plans for Shabbos and returned to Bnei Brak, when heard the news (and it was from him that the Belzer rebbe learned about the tragedy)

What a surprise ! Rebbelzerber is smart, and while it's wonderful of him to go to the levaya and to visit injured teenagers, why is this suddenly an act of his own mesiras nefesh or something, and that makes him more or less of a "tsadik" ?

Teenagers in the merkaz hakuk rav got to bear responsibility for something they had no say in, the irresponsible and stupid acts of Zionist politicians and their "religious" pets for past 100 years. He's trying to play both sides, but it's really hard when his entire sustenance depends on dotations from the Entity and these people have no way of maintaining their lifestyle if not by consuming the poisoned fruits. Their acts are what caused this tragedy, directly, and while they're mighty kind to show up at the funeral and in the hospital, it doesn't absolve them of responsibility for the horrendous acts of betrayal that led to the unfortunate situation without an exit in which inhabitants of Israel are in.

Can someone explain why everyone seems so surprised?

I thought that fight (and the killing and all else) was over a while ago.

On the contrary, it has YET to begin.....
Hopefully this will serve as a wakeup call to some......

1- I don't get why he thinks being there or not would matter. Did I miss the announcement where Hamas said they're targeting the Gerrer Rebbe? (Gd help them if they do... can you imagine 10,000 gerrers rolling into Gaza?)

2- I do not believe that the Belzer gabboim didn't tell him about it.

Other than an unexplainable dislike and several heated car-bound debates, the two groups seem to have lost much of the passion.

Great article, thanks for sharing. We are all in this boat together and united in our hearts and prayer.

Btw, I heard that some houses are being planned for a town in East Jerusalem and the arabs are upset. In my opinion, I don't think it's a good idea. After what happened, we shouldn't be asking for more trouble. unsure.gif

Maybe we should just pack up and leave, so that we don't antagonize the Arabs any further......
After all, they wouldn't kill us if we weren't in Israel......

I disagree. We should all go to Siberia and blow ourselves up there (taking care not to kill any other civilians), and leave our cities and facilities intact for others.

ETA: Forget it. It's a lose-lose situation. We do that and we take the fun away from the world. Oh well.

I didn't mean leave, I meant maybe they should slow down with the construction and let things cool down before going foward. I know that the arabs attack no matter what. But still we should take precaution so we don't provoke it.

So how does one determine the acceptible threshold of provocation???

Neither do the Neturei Karta for that matter....

Terrorist look to provoke collective punishment. So whenever those who aren't directly responsible for terror are being killed and maimed, terrorists achieve their goal, as do Zionists.

Are you proposing a Celebrity Death Match rebbishe edition?
Even so, don't you think a R' Aharon vs. R'Zalmen Celebrity Death Match would be more exciting?

Funny, they say the last real hafganot were the kikar shabbos riots of the early 90's. When the mishtara ticked of Gur.

My favorite story (who knows if it's true) was when a chusid came to the rebbe and said "they started using lady cops, we can't fight with them" The rebbe said "nem ah benkel" (grab a bench)
