at about 10 AM a series of explosions were heard next to the beis yeshaya bulding of mir that sounded like gunshots, police squads came to yeshiva fully armed, weapons drawn, after 10 minutes they realized that it came from a bochur setting off fireworks, why he was doing it in broad daylight , no one knows ( apparently trying to kill amalek in his own way ) B'H Everyone is doing great.

this comes 2 weeks after police found 2 arabs in the building on erev shabbos parshas ki sisa with knives!

( the mir is on the border ( almost ) between East and West Jerusalem )

Now would be a good time for that guard that sits at the door to start paying attention.

Also those firecrackers have gotten out of hand. These kids sneak up behind you and bam!

Special news report from someone who learns at the Mir:

"We heard these pop noises coming from outside. We had a half a suspicion that maybe it was gun shots, but it didn't seem loud enough. Someone stuck his head out the window to see what was happening, no one flinched and no one got excited, so we just went back to learning. Someone then told me that last night there was someone shooting firecrackers right outside Beis Yeshaya, so he assumed it was the same person."

Actually, the bigger firecrackers are actually louder (some much) than gunshots.......

Last time there was an arab wielding knife, one bochur slammed him to the ground and disarmed him while everyone there joined in to help. The security guy just stood in the back cringing and suggesting we call the mishtara.
