So?

I actually have another question, but it'll have to be another thread because three's the limit.

Most recent trip was 2005 CE, me and one daughter*, for an Emunah Mission.

*ETA: one daughter and I?

Last time I was there was when I was 7 years old... 13 years ago.
I'll IY"H be going on a brithright trip this summer, so we'll see how that works out.
I was there 3 times when I was a kid, and haven't been back since, but I think about Israel all the time...

This was my other question (actually, two questions, now that I think about it), so let me start that other thread posthaste.

I was there 10 months ago on vacation, visiting friends. I hope to go in the next 2-6 months again, for another vacation (I try to go every year.)

The first time I went to Israel was at age 13 with my family when we accompanied my father on business - he was a guest lecturer at the Technion University in Haifa for a week or so. After that I visited 7 times on my own, until I moved there/made aliyah at age 29, and lived there for 4 1/2 years. Since returning to the States 6 years ago, I have visited Israel 4 more times.

My wife will likely get a paid trip to Israel next July, paid for by her workplace. I will join her then.

I have visited Israel 5 times. The last time, November, 2004, I was present for a friend's wedding. The other four times were in the 1980's. I have never gone there just as a tourist, but for specific purposes--kibbutz ulpan, Ohr Somayach, Volunteers for Israel, etc.

Naturally, you left out "for shidduch reasons".

first time was when I was 6 for my sister's wedding, we stayed for the summer. Next time was when I was 10 (I think) for my grandmother's first yahrtzeit. Next time was for my bat mitzvah, then 6 months later for a nephew's bris, and then for seminary. Haven't gone home since (well, to live). biggrin.gif

I've been to Israel a gazillion times a gazillion time ago but not recently. (Translation: 8 times including living there, but I haven't been there in exactly 11 years.)
I don't have any immediate or even long term plans of going there, but I suppose that whenever I'm in Europe the next time (which might be within the next year or two) I'll get incredibly homesick and go to Israel for a few days, only to spend my entire time there complaining...
