So you know Mordechai Schmutter from his weekly humor columns in the Hamodia Magazine. Remeber how surprised you were that there was actually a funny humor column in a jewish magazine? Until he came along, a not funny column about how you forgot to buy diapers even though you went to the store with the intention to buy diapersand your four month old had to use the mop you bought instead, was considered the pinnacle of funniness, so long as you chose a pen name like Shprintzy Yentle Tevyeshmendelfmanovitch.

Then along came Mordechai Schmutter (whom I swear I don't know personally) and not only wrote columns that are actually funny, but managed to convince the Modia to print them, week after week. And now he's written a book! The book is called "Don't Yell Challah in a Crowded Matza Bakery".

Now I know you're thinking, ah, a Jewish humor book. Probably the author thinks it's funny to say matza balls again and again. And his idea of a real knee slapper is to make puns using the word Oy. But with this book, that is not the case.

Having a small amount of experience trying to get the OPS mouthpieces to print something that is not directly in the dead center of their comfort zone, I realize how important it is to further encourage the one man who has succeeded at it. BUY THE BOOK!!

I know him personally. Although I dont always love his column, its usually funny and I'm sure a book written by him would be good.

Bump I'm sorry. i don't like to bump my own topic here. But boring humorless people will undoubtedly be proactive in their quest to keep us bland, so if we want change we've gotta take the bull by the horns as well.

Awesome!

I definitely need to get a copy.

Anything that makes the statement that wearing a permanent sour-puss is not required by halacha has my full and passionate backing.

I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that just because we have the same avatar and happen to know each other, that doesnt mean we are the same person. As a matter of fact if I was writing under a different name I would not use an avatar that I'm known by to hide behind. But good detective work nontheless.
