Wow, that was about a dozen blocks from where I work.
It's amazing to see how that crane just sliced through buildings, and demolished a four-story bulding. The building hosted a bar called "FUBAR," a military sland for "fouled up beyond all recognition." Is that ironic? Bad karma to choose such a name?
I anticipate massive lawsuits. Many neighbors had complained about perceived safety violations, though the city said that everything was by-the-book. Would a jury care that expert witnesses say that everything was fine, or pay more attention to the fact that people complained and that in the end they were proven right?
