I have a problem that I'm judgemental. I was at a dinner tonight and I saw stuff that got me upset. I heard stupid things said in speaches. Had I not been judgemental I wouldn't have noticed.
On the other hand, I was being judgemental at people's lack of empathy. Is that good? A mixed bag?
Am I being to judgemental of myself?
You are a normal, healthy, thinking human being and you are entitled to have opinions of your own and to make judgments when you hear stupid things being expressed, just as you can make judgments when you hear wise things expressed. The question though is how to act when you're around people who say stupid things. The trick is to separate the stupidity from the person expressing the stupidity, and try to give them the benefit of the doubt; maybe they have these stupid opinions because they haven't had experiences in life taht would teach them otherwise.
