Question regarding the actual topic of the thread (I know the off-topic bit was my fault, sorry about that)--
Does it count if you know someone who posts, and you know their "real-life" identity, but they don't know that you know? I don't know how to count that in my vote. I figured it would, because I know the person and their username, but I was just curious.
enigma
Oct 25 2004, 06:43 PM
Nechama, I guess it would depend on whether or not you know the person, and whether you also know their username. If you saw someone posting from a distance, even if you know who they are, you might not know who they are on H.com. But if you know who they are and what name they post under, I think you could maybe count it. Just my $.02.

Sometimes I feel that I develop better relationships with shadchanim than with the dates they suggest to me. Quite sad

On the other hand, maybe I should get to know those single shadchaniyot (gramm inc.?) a little better.

I selected the 6-10 group, but upon further review, and especially if you count those with multiple personalities (let alone multiple user names), I know far more than that.
I guess I'm an old-timer of sorts too, which makes me wonder - why don't I know who YOU are Gretchen?!
And hey...Gretchen, Geshtunken....can it be a coincidence? Or am I possibly just talking to one of my own alternate personalities? MU-hahahaha......
